Does the chiropractor accept my insurance?

What is the chiropractor's cancellation policy?
If you miss your appointment without calling or notification a $40 missed visit fee will apply.
What is the chiropractor's approach to treatment?
We focus on specific corrective chiropractic adjustments. It begins with initial acute intensive care to resolve the symptomatic condition(s), corrective care to improve the structure and function, and continue with wellness care to maintain optimal health, function, and spinal hygiene for life.
Does the chiropractor use any specific techniques?
We use Gonstead Chiropractic, Diversified Technique, Thompson Drop, Chiropractic BioPhysics Technique, Flexion Distraction, Activator Method, Toggle Recoil, and Mally Extremity Technique.
How does the chiropractor measure progress?
Progress is measured through comprehensive evaluations, which include a consultation with the doctor, orthopedic testing, and a postural exam. We also assess patient balance, range of motion, and x-ray imaging. These regular check-ups allow us to monitor your progress effectively and evaluate your current phase of care to ensure you are meeting your health milestones.
What are the risks and benefits of chiropractic treatment?
The benefits of chiropractic care include removing nerve interference to restore function, which allows the body to express the proper flow of information. This process keeps the body healthy and healing without the risks associated with drugs or surgery. Furthermore, chiropractic care promotes better structural alignment and posture, leading to improved performance, better function, and less wear and tear or osteoarthritis.
Enhanced motion of the spine also leads to improvements in the sympathetic nervous system and an immune system that is two to four times stronger. Patients often experience fewer hospital visits, fewer days spent in the hospital, fewer surgeries, and approximately an 85% reduction in the use of pharmaceuticals.
The risks of chiropractic treatment primarily result from ignoring contraindications to adjustment, such as fractures, severe osteoporosis, or specific unknown medical conditions. However, the risks are overall very minimal, which explains why chiropractic malpractice insurance is a fraction of the cost of medical malpractice insurance.
While many studies indicate that pharmaceuticals are a leading cause of death—surpassing even heart disease and cancer—no one dies from an adjustment.
Does the chiropractor work with other healthcare providers?
Yes, the doctor often refers and receives referrals with many local physicians, therapists, trainers, and providers.

Does the chiropractor provide any additional services?
Services include chiropractic, custom orthotics, massage therapy, therapeutic exercise, and spinal hygiene including cervical traction and home exercises.
How does the chiropractor handle emergencies?
Our emergency number is at the end of the answering machine and the doctor can be reached at any time for an emergency.
What is the chiropractor's approach to patient education?
Patient education is meshed into the DNA of our practice; it is included in both the new patient orientation and our “Better Results Faster” class. Education is critical. Patients don’t typically leave chiropractic care because they aren’t getting better—they leave because they don’t understand why they should stay. Just as people understand why dental hygiene is important for a lifetime of health, we want our patients to understand why spinal hygiene is equally essential for life.

What should I expect during my initial examination?
Your initial visit includes consultation, a detailed physical examination, and x-rays.
How long will my first appointment take?
30 minutes.
What should I wear to my first appointment?
Normal attire is fine. Less metal and jewelry is better.
What should I bring with me to my first appointment?
Bring your insurance card, work schedule, a list of any medications or surgeries, and a form of payment for day 1.
Will X-rays be taken during my first appointment?
Unless you are pregnant or have some contraindication x-rays are usually taken day 1. We believe to see is to know and not to see is to guess and we don’t guess with our patient’s health.
Will the chiropractor discuss a treatment plan during my first appointment?
No, that will be discussed in detail on your second appointment after the doctor’s report of findings.
Will the chiropractor adjust me during my first appointment?
No, the exam and x-rays must be evaluated after day 1 before an adjustment is given. The first adjustment is usually given after the doctors report of findings on day 2. On a rare occasion with unique circumstances an adjustment would be given on day 1.
Will the chiropractor give any instructions to follow after my first appointment?
Yes, often there are specific instructions given after day 1 and the day 2 orientation usually includes home traction and exercise instructions.
How long until I can expect to see results from my first visit?
After the first adjustment it is not uncommon to experience some stiffness or soreness like starting in the gym. Symptoms tend to subside in 2 to 4 weeks depending on the condition, however structural change often takes much longer. Remember symptoms are the last thing to surface but they are the first thing to go away. Breakdown usually happens for a long time before we feel it.
